Midway Gardens Earrings
Midway Gardens was an entertainment complex in Chicago and fine example of Wright’s pioneering use of reinforced concrete as an artistic decorative medium. Raised patterns like the one used on these earrings created in concrete precede the types of designs that Wright would later use in his California “textile block” houses of the 1920s.
