SC Johnson Skylight Trivet
In 1936, third-generation SC Johnson leader Herbert Fisk (H.F.) Johnson, Jr. sought out the architect Frank Lloyd Wright “to build the best office building in the world” in Racine, Wisconsin. This product is adapted from the circular glass dome addition to the SC Johnson Administration Building, designed by Wright in 1943. The dome features meticulously installed concentric circles of Pyrex glass tubing reinforced by a pattern of circular steel bands, which allows light into the space without views.
Our trivets are made from 1/2" thick cherry veneered MDF. This wonderful addition to your home comes with rubber feet on the bottom, and can withstand heat up to 400° F. Trivets can also be used as wall art using the included mounting hardware. 7-3/4" diameter x 1/2" thick. Acrylic stand not included. All AlaModerna products are made in the USA.
Each purchase supports the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation’s mission to inspire people to discover and embrace an architecture for better living through meaningful connections to nature, the arts, and each other.
