Taliesin West Whirling Arrow Square Coasters, Set of 4

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized world-wide as one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century. His work heralded a new thinking in architecture, using innovation in design and engineering made possible by newly developed technology and materials. His creative ability extended far beyond the border of architecture to graphic design, furniture, art glass, textiles, and decorative elements for the home.

The design used in this product is adapted from a 1940's design by Frank Lloyd Wright that he used as a symbol of his school. The ancient Hohokam petroglyph that inspired this design was found on a rock in the over 600 acres of Wright's winter home and school, Taliesin West, when the home and campus was being constructed on a hillside in Arizona. Wright had stated that it reminded him of two hands clasping in a gesture of friendship.

Taliesin West Whirling Arrow Coaster Set of 4 assorted, absorbent stone coasters, four of the same design. 4.25" round with cork backing. Each set in a printed box.
