Tree of Life Art Glass
Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin D. Martin House in Buffalo, New York (1903), a National Historic Landmark, features a recurring "Tree of Life" motif throughout. The house is often referred to as a masterpiece. Wright himself called it "the opus." Admired for its extensive collection of art glass windows designed by Wright, the house contains nine primary art glass themes, many interrelated. The design of this art glass panel is based on the details of a casement window located on the central landing of the Martin House. The geometric, stylized natural forms of the window bring in the outdoors while providing additional privacy to those inside.Approx Dimensions: L: 11.5" x W: 9.625" x THK: 0.125"
