Nora Daniel "Masselink" Scarf
The design on this scarf is based on a painting "Fern Abstraction" by Eugene Masselink, in the Collection at Taliesin West. Masselink came to the Taliesin Fellowship in 1933 with a degree in art and a desire to learn from Wright, and during his time in the Fellowship, he developed his own design style that matched Wright's philosophy.
This scarf is produced by applying textile paints to silk, which has been stretched on a wooden frame like a canvas.
