Taliesin West Wine Stopper

As a painter, Carson Bilger, is inspired by his travels in the western United States. His paintings use planar analysis to depict landscapes as complex puzzles of interlocking shapes and color. Through his vintage Polaroid 600 camera, Bilger captures iconic American landscapes and uses these nostalgic images to create large-scale paintings with acrylic on canvas or board.

"My aim is to retain the sublime feel of the original location while visually exploring the geometry of spatial relationships."
