DS Midway Gardens Sprite 12"

DS Midway Gardens Sprite 12"

Midway Gardens (1913-1914) was an entertainment complex on Chicago's south side - and an extraordinary achievement for Frank Lloyd Wright, who personally designed and supervised all of its elements, including a series of cast concrete sculptures he called the "Sprites." The Gardens fell victim to financial troubles and was demolished in 1929.

This hand-cast cement garden sculpture was adapted from drawings found in the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives. These Frank Lloyd Wright Collection products are authorized by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation.
