DS Allen House A Mini Lightbox
The Allen House, that Frank Lloyd Wright considered “among my best”, is one of his last Prairie houses. The home simultaneously recalls the early houses of the period and preludes Wright’s Usonian style of the 1930’s. Wright designed the home while working on the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo and the square structure, with its enclosed lily pool and garden, has a notably Japanese aesthetic. Complimenting the rich exterior are equally sumptuous interiors of art glass windows, bookcase doors, and masonry wall joints covered in gold leaf. The design motif of this product is from the home’s ceiling grille and reflects the concentric rectilinear style of the home.
Our lightboxes are made with cherry veneered MDF and heat resistant shoji paper. Each lightbox includes an inline on/off switch on an 8' cord. The candelabra base also includes a 4 watt LED tubular bulb. This mini version of our lightbox measures 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" x 11-1/2" . All AlaModerna products are made in the USA.
