Blueprint Chronograph Watch
This timepiece incorporates one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s more famous projects, the Coonley playhouse based outside of Chicago. The stained-glass windows from this project have been a popular design, revered and copied into many items. The circles and squares go back to his use of geometric shapes, integral in his designs.
Designed in 1912, The Avery Coonley Playhouse was originally a private schoolhouse on the estate of industrialist Avery Coonley. Yet, just a few years after its completion, the Coonleys had it converted into a single-family residence, as it remains today.
The timepiece’s stainless steel case includes a blue enamel dial feature a chronograph function with white printed blueprint design. The brown calf-skin strap is finished with white stitching.
