“I love colored pencils. They are intimately associated with my sense of happiness, and have been since childhood.” In addition to being an accomplished architect, Wright was also a proficient illustrator. He was still drawing with panache at 91; his last perspective drawing was signed just days before his death, in April 1959. After the architect passed, this artful lineup of colored pencils was discovered on his desk.
