DS Thomas Entry Light Art Glass
This art glass is adapted from a pattern Frank Lloyd Wright created for three vestibule ceiling lights in the Frank Thomas House in Oak Park, IL. He designed and built this project at the request of Mr. James Rogers as a wedding gift for the client's daughter and son-in-law. Some of Wright's most intricate art glass is found in this house. His use of mother-of-pearl, tiny gilded squares, diamond shapes, and an abstract arrowhead motif in the ceiling lights adds to the creation of a brilliant glass jewel box in a vestibule composed of art glass on three of its four walls.
