Organic Commandment Coasters, Set of 4
Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) is recognized world-wide as one of the greatest architects of the twentieth century. His work heralded a new thinking in architecture, using innovation in design and engineering made possible by newly developed technology and materials. His creative ability extended far beyond the border of architecture to graphic design, furniture, art glass, textiles, and decorative elements for the home.
This design is adapted from the artwork created by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1940. The Organic Commandment is simple yet graphically powerful and profound. The first version was issued as a limited print run by Wright’s Taliesin Press in 1934, the principles expressed assumed a broader application as a life philosophy and continue to have a significant impact on the fields of architecture and design.
